Services Overview

Interstate offers a wide array of electrical and specialty services to corporate, institutional, educational, life sciences and healthcare companies throughout New England:

24/7 Emergency Service:
Interstate has one of the largest electrical services organizations in New England. Emergency service 24/7, electrical upgrades, renovation and small construction projects; no matter what your need, we can handle it.

ThermoScan Infra-Red Diagnostic Imaging: Infrared imaging technology enables companies to find and fix hot spots in their electrical systems before they cause major problems. Done without disrupting electrical service and includes a full color, detailed report and analysis by one of our professional, licensed electrical engineers for all hotspots discovered. Included as part of an overall electrical system audit.

Arc Flash Hazard Analysis: Changes to the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) regulations now mandate that all electrical equipment likely to be serviced while energized must have labels identifying potential arc-flash hazard. Increasingly, insurance companies may demand compliance with this NFPA regulation. As part of the Arc Flash Hazard Risk Assessment service, our professional electrical engineers:

  • Analyze the electrical systems within your facility
  • Assemble findings in a detailed report
  • Custom design warning labels for each system

The completed assessment study highlights relevant NFPA code references and depicts fault magnitudes and hard risk categories for each system. Included as part of an overall electrical system audit.

Electrical Construction: Interstate provides electrical construction services across the New England area and supports those projects with over 400 field electricians and the fiscal strength needed to handle any project no matter what the size or scope.

Design/Build: Interstate offers design build capabilities in all of our offices. We employ a team of multi-state licensed professional engineers supported by a staff of certified CAD operators who can design the job from the beginning or assist with changes mid-stream. Interstates CAD designers are trained and experienced with the technology platforms that enable project teams to visualize the structure and electrical systems in three dimensions and then share those drawings with the other trades.

Network Systems: We Install and maintain data network infrastructure including fiber optic cabling. All of Interstate’s network system technicians carry certifications in the latest networking technologies.

Control Systems: Interstate specializes in the installation of environmental and industrial process control systems. Interstate’s controls technicians have experience with a broad range of control systems; both analog and digital.
